Peering Policy and Agreements

7Nets operates a high-performance network focused on digital security, robust connectivity, IP transit, and content distribution, with presence in the United States, Brazil, and other countries across Latin America. Our infrastructure includes multiple Points of Presence (PoPs) and strategic partnerships, offering low-latency, high-capacity interconnection services.

In the United States, our peering policy is generally open. We are available to peer at any Internet Exchange Point (IXP) where we have a common presence, particularly in key markets such as Miami (FL), Ashburn (VA), and New York/New Jersey.

In Latin America, particularly in Brazil, our peering policy is more selective. To discuss peering with 7Nets, please contact us at [email protected].

Requirements

  • We use PeeringDB as our authoritative source of information. For public IXPs, your data must be kept up to date to establish and maintain bilateral peering sessions.
  • We implement prefix filtering and/or max-prefix limits to ensure security and avoid route leaks.
  • Both parties should maintain an up-to-date AS-SET and define a recommended prefix limit in PeeringDB.
  • The NOC contact email listed in PeeringDB must respond promptly to any operational issues.
  • Planned maintenance that may impact the peering session must be communicated via NOC email at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Routes must be announced consistently (same quantity, prefix length, and MED) across all peering points unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Both parties must maintain adequate capacity at the public exchange to ensure a positive experience for mutual customers.
  • Traffic exceeding 20 Gbps must transition to a Private Network Interconnect (PNI), and PNI capacity must be upgraded in a timely manner to prevent congestion.
  • Public tools such as looking glass must be provided to assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics of the peering relationship.
